House of Prayer's Choirs

Sanctuary Choir

The Sanctuary Choir sings a wide variety of choral music, ranging from a cappella motets to larger works with chamber orchestra. The Sanctuary Choir rehearses every Thursday from 7:00-8:30 p.m., and sings each Sunday from Rally Day in the fall to Memorial Day in the spring, as well as at all church festivals. The choir consists of adult singers of all ages and experience levels, from beginners to advanced musicians. Contact Phil Mennicke for more information.

Brass Ensemble

If you are a brass player who loves to toot your horn, this is the group for you. The Brass Ensemble rehearses every Thursday and plays for worship services approximately once a month. Contact Jon Kietzer for more information.

Wind Ensemble

The Wind Ensemble is an intergenerational group for all instrumentalists that has lots of fun and provides music at worship four times a year. Whether you played in college last year or in grade school thirty years ago, please consider being part of this group. Contact Jon Kietzer for more information.

Bell Choir

This unique ensemble of ringers adds a unique dynamic to the musical offerings at House of Prayer. The bells rehearse every Monday from 6:00 to 7:15 p.m. and play for worship once a month. Reading music is a requirement. Contact Phil Mennicke for more information.

Youth Bell Choir

The Youth Bell Choir is open to any youth in grades 6-12 that are interested in trying out the bells. No real musical ability is required. We go through basic bell technique and perform in worship twice a year. If you are interested in this fun-filled opportunity, contact Kristin Tranby.

Choristers

On Wednesday nights, the halls of House of Prayer are filled with the sounds of children's voices, singing joyful songs. The Music School is lead by Children's Director Karen Bartz and is divided into two different groups. The Choristers are our upper elementary kids (grades 1-5) and a typical Wednesday night consists of singing and a craft activity. They also sing in church throughout the year.

Cherubs

The Cherubs are the other musical group involved with Music School, consisting of the Preschoolers and Kindergarteners. They also have opportunities to lift up their joyful little voices in praise songs during Worship.
