Youth and Family Celebration

Dave Malmberg and Friends

Dave Malmberg and Friends

October 26 will be an exciting day at House of Prayer. Not only is it Reformation Sunday and our 61th anniversary, it is Confirmation Sunday and Youth and Family Day. We will celebrate with a light lunch at 11:00 for all, followed by a repeat performance by ventriloquist Dave Malmberg. Tickets are on sale each Sunday until October 26th or by calling the church office to reserve your ticket (612-866-8471). Only 200 tickets are available, so pur-chase your tickets early. Youth age 18 and under are admitted without charge but need a ticket to attend. Door prizes will be awarded at the end of the program.

Sign up for the Nov. 2 Flu Shot Clinic!

Be sure to get your flu shot this year, and you can do it right here at church on Sunday, November 2. Nurses from the Minnesota Visiting Nurses Association will be here to administer the vaccines. They will have the FluMist for ages 2-49, the regular shot, and the high-dose shot for those over 65. Most insurance plans are accepted, and there is a cash option.
Call the office and sign up for your flu shot BY THIS FRIDAY, OCT. 24!

Blankets for Love

HoP women met frequently this summer to tie fleece blankets for Rising Cedar, a facility built to provide housing for 40 residents with serious and persistent mental illness. Our Prayer Shawl Ministry sponsored this outreach project to create a fleece blanket for each resident. The blankets were blessed and taken to Rising Cedar on July 13.
